YES, agents should be allowed to solicit business anywhere they can find it. It takes time and money to set up these sites to attract business, why should an agent not be allowed to profit from his/her labors? Everybody keeps talking about a global market, why should it be restricted from the Realtor? As far as higher fees to the public, my fees do not change because it is a referral, I doubt many Realtors charge higher fees. If they do charge higher fees, that is their prerogative, fees are negotiable!!! Why is the Real Estate industry regulated to death and every other industry can do whatever it chooses???
