Shooting the Internet Messenger

Hats off to Blanche for courage and bravery under enemy fire!!! About 6 years ago I was asked by my company to lecture at seminars in CT, NY & NJ on computer use in real estate. Back then MLS's were just becoming computerized, e-mail was evolving as the communication of choice for the "now" generation, and personal computers broke the affordability barrier. I thought my lectures showed tremendous insite as I predicted the advent of virtual tours, auctions, and online transaction management. I also explained that if these agents didn't jump in with both feet and embrace this technology and grow with it, they would be out of business within 7 to 10 years. "Yeah right, lady!"......To make a long story short, I've since been in touch with many of those agents who didn't believe me, and guess what, Blanche? You're vindicated!

They all say they wish they had taken me seriously back then. That river keeps flowing and those who didn't jump in when it was easier to swim, are now paddling furiously to catch up.

Whether it's Plano TX or Milford, CT, the attitude's all the same. "Yeah right, lady!"...
