Broker Reciprocity
Posted By: Delmar - 06/13/2000 04:53 PM

Blanche Evans said: "Start with your own MLS and vote for broker reciprocity. Preapprove the vendors so the brokers will retain control over the integrity of the listing information. Keep the listing broker's name and contact information on the listings."

I've been begging our local Board and MLS Committee to do exactly that for over 6 months. Homes.com has asked to upload data directly from our MLS in order to correct the incomplete, incorrect and grossly outdated listing information posted directly by brokers.

Unfortunately, many local MLS members don't use or understand the internet. They don't understand the benefits of having their listings advertised (free) in anything other than MLS, Realtor.com or the bulletin boards in their own offices. Any suggestions?
