Leads and where to get them

Not to take Homestore management to task, but there are plenty of tools available that provide leads to Realtors. To say that other sites don't provide leads is either self-serving, naive or both. My experience as a website developer indicates that the people who provide the most timely and accurate property information to consumers win. Unfortunately for the big companies, local MLS organizations and megabrokers are developing their own local property databases that are both more timely and more accurate than the national sites. They give consumers in the local market the information they want, including things like property address. Since it is the consumer that is driving the process, it stands to reason that those who are closest to the consumer and most willing to fill the need will win.

Things change fast in the online world. Yesterday's leader and tomorrow's leader may be two different entities. Just ask Netscape.
