First of all, Why does HUD need to spend millions advertising in the first place? Here in Tennessee it's always been that 60 per cent of the home buyers were FHA & VA. Since us REALTORS sell most of the HUD financed homes, the advertising is a mystery to me.
As for Appraisals and Home Inspections. I wouldn't blame any appraiser for not wanting to appraise for FHA. At my company, we ALWAYS recommend they get a home inspection.
