Response To: Why Aren't Listings Posted Instantly to the Internet? (Blanche Evans - 09/02/1999)

Who's At Fault?

The internet is touted as "the information super highway". Well then the delays we have been encountering here can only be "traffic jams" and "bottlenecks".
Realtor.com tells you that your property photos will be uploaded within 48hrs (with agent simple). Not once has this happened. It takes repeated calls. Other changes that must be originated from the MLS are supposed to be done on a weekly basis. This has not happened either. When I call to inquire, both organizations blame the other.
Home buyers and sellers want current information. If we are attempting to give them that, then let's do it. Old and outdated information just doesn't help anyone and makes us appear unprofessional.
Raltor.com is number one because it has so many listings. Unfortunately, this may also be what is their "Achilles heel".
