It was just a matter of time before a real estate site adapted the "lifestyles of the rich and famous" concept to its web marketing. And, of course, it's supreme silliness. But that doesn't mean it won't work! Yes, people will always want to see homes they're seriously interested in online, but they'll eagerly divert their attention to peek at celebrity homes, if offered. Meanwhile, as the battle rages between Homestore, HomeAdvisor, HomeSeeker and other sites where folks can see houses, a handful of sites -- where people can get solid information from good agents about neighborhoods, schools, mortgages, etc. (all the stuff they need a good Realtor to help them with) -- are scoring points with the public. For example: Number1Experts.com, RealEstateABC.com, and RealEstateVillage.com are among those sites where buyers and sellers can find the website of a top Realtor in virtually any community. And, as the Web matures as a place where the business of real estate is conducted in an atmosphere of seriousness instead of silliness, these sites will flourish, because they're giving people real information, not just pictures of houses. But, every so often, even the most serious buyer will want to see the house Jennifer Love Hewitt lives in. This, after all, is an inalienable right in a celebrity culture like ours.
