The market, as of today, November 20, 2009, has started to pick up again, finally. I think buyer's believe that the prices will not go down any further than they have. Jupiter Island is one of the most desireable locations in the world and buyer's feel that now is a great time to pick up a home there. The last few weeks have shown an increase in buyers looking again.

Location Characteristics: This barrier island, accessible only by two bridges or by boat is said to have the highest per-capita income in the U.S. It's reputation has made it a sanctuary for America's ultra rich. Besides it beaches and natural beauty, privacy and security are among it's major attractions. The island is home to a private, equity golf and beach club and many state and county parks and natural areas. There is a public beach on the island, but no commercial establishments and so the residents must go to the mainland for shopping, dining and recreation. It is most heavily populated during the winter months. Although there are several condominiums on the island, the town itself has only 584 residents in single family homes.
