Even the conservative Wall St. Journal is now reporting "THE BOTTOM HAS BEEN HIT" in the real estate market -- and Toll Brothers CEO reports Naples is its "bright spot." As the normal visitors season winds down, we have continued to see some addtional price reductions, but those properties that are already aggressively-priced in the communities in demand have already been snapped up. So, we are seeing some reductions in the over-priced products, down to the level where property should "move". I don't believe the selling prices will go much lower than they are right now, so there are still incedible deals to be had.
The market still has a huge supply of inventory, so that will maintain softer prices, for sure. Compare Southwest Florida to your weather up north and there is no contest! Great summers, great beaches, great winters, great golf courses -- what more could you want?
