Location Characteristics: Ormond Beach is a great area in which to live featuring the famous "Loop", a scenic drive along the Intracoastal Waterway, over the waterway to Old Dixie highway and then through the Tomoka State Park area ending up at the Granada bridge at Rte 40. This is very popular with cyclists, motorcycles and autos as the ride through the tree canopied route is spectacular. You can still see the Ormond Garage where the early Daytona racers were created and maintained. The peninsula area features condo or single-family living, with reataurants and beaches galore. Areas of Ormond Lakes, Plantation Bay, Halifax Plantation, Breakaway Trails, Hunters Ridge and others offer very pleasant places to live and now at favorable prices. Not far to the attractions in Orlando, the Space Center, St. Augustine and other popular vacation areas.
