As of today, July 18, 2008, homes are selling again, if they are priced right for this market. With interest rates still low, and coming down, and home prices having dropped considerably, buyers are starting to think that this may be the right time to buy. I don't see home prices increasing over the short term, because of the oversupply on the market, but I do feel that the bottom has already arrived.

ZIP Code: 33410

Location Characteristics: Palm Beach Gardens has a land area of 55 square miles, making it the largest city in Palm Beach County. The year 2,000 census showed a population of 38,055 but it has grown considerably in the last 5 years and is continuing to do so. The city likes to refer to itself as the golf capital of the world because of the many fine private and public courses in the area. Since the eastern boundry of the city is the Intracoastal Waterway, boating is also a popular pastime with the residents. The upscale Gardens Mall is a favorite for shoppers from all over the area and much of the new commercial develpment is attracting upscale businesses from the city of Palm Beach as well as the nation. The New York Times has called it the South Beach of the North. The city is located 70 miles north of Miami and the Palm Beach International Airport is only 7 miles away.
