Information is in for August home sales in Eagan. New listings were up 12% and closed sales were down 36%. This could be in direct relation to the first time home buyer credit going away in June. We had a increase in our closings for the month of June and depending on what city you are in are trending slightly downward. We need banks to loosen up their lending and get the stimulus money out into the marketplace and not on their balance sheets. Median sales and average sales price were both up roughly 27%. Average days on market was down 22% to 119 days. Single family homes inventory was up 10 and townhouse and condo inventory was up 8%.
