Whitefish Lake real estate experienced some of the largest discounts in price compared to anywhere else in the Flathead Valley real estate market with values down as much as 40% from 2006/2007. Oddly, this has not created the seller motivation one would expect. Whitefish Lake real estate is unique for many factors, including but not limited to, the limited amount of land. It's rare in the Northern Rockies to find a lake as chic, pristine, small and uncrowded as Whitefish Lake. Celebrity sightings are not unusual and in the shadow of Whitefish Mountain Resort and Glacier National Park, the views are not bad either.
Whitefish Lake real estate has a special place in many people's hearts. Even with the significant decrease in market value (apart from bank-owned properties and truly motivated sellers) there are few opportunities one would recognize as a "great deal." Most just consider themselves lucky enough to find their perfect piece of real estate in a place as special as Whitefish Lake.
