Shelburne is a delightful little New England village, sitting happily on the banks of the Androscoggin River, and surrounded by beautiful mountain views. Shelburne is only minutes to Mt. Washington, and wonderful outdoor activities such as hiking, kayaking, and skiing are all available . In this report, only single family (not condo or mobile) homes sold through the realtors' multiple listing service have been included. Private sales have not been tracked. There was one sale in Shelburne in April, which is an improvement over last year at the end of April. There are currently 9 homes on the market of which one is sale pending at this time (about 11%). Shelburne is in a buyer's market, just as the whole area is in a buyer's market. The market in Shelburne has slightly improved since last month.

Location Characteristics: Shelburne is one of those picturesque little New England towns that you see in magazines. It sits in the the valley on the banks of the Androscoggin River with lovely mountain views all around, The Appalachian Mountain Trail passes right through. There are charming bed and breakfast establishments, a motel, and a delightful, historic country inn for a tranquil rest . Gorham is only minutes away, with many motel rooms and stores, and quite a few restaurants.
