The Albuquerque market has continued steady activity. February saw 380 single-family detached home sales up 10.79% from the same month last year and up 8.88% from January. Pending sales of single-family detached homes are up 46.98% from February 2009 and increased 5.27% from January. As reported by other REALTORS® the first time home buyer price range (continues to be the top selling category. We expect a mild surge through the end of April with the home buyer tax credit expiring at the end of that month. We also expect a lull after the tax credit expires. The upper-end price ranges continue to see very little activity, although it does seem to be increasing.
