In the Canal Winchester area the market is continuing downward in 2009 - Average sale prices for the first 10 months are down 10.2% and the number of closings declined 11.8% compared to the same period of 2008.
In 2008 we saw closing (sales closed) activity down 15.8% compared to 2007. Average sale prices also declined about 5.5%.
Looking back, In 2006 the number of closings was down about 2%compared to 2005 and the average sale price was down about 2%. In 2007 closings were down 21% further in Canal but average sale prices held steady showing a slight decline of less than 1% over 2006 prices.
