I grew up in Hilliard, graduating from Hilliard Darby High School. I have seen Hilliard grow from 1 high school to 3 and still continuously expanding.
Statistics from the CBR MLS show the difference from April 2009 and April 2010 for the 43026 zip code:
April 2009 Listings Sold in April 2009: 44 Average Days on Market: 103 Average Sales Price: $168,273
April 2010 Listings Sold in April 2010: 100 Average Days on market: 76 Average Sales Price: $180,324
As you can see there was an increase in sold listings, an increase in the average sales price and a decrease in average days on market. There is no denying that the tax credit helped boost sales all over the country, and from these statistics it looks like Hilliard benefited as well.
Even after the tax credit deadline (April 30, 2010), my team and I have been experiencing a lot of activity with both buyers and sellers not only in Hilliard, but in surrounding cities.
