Pickerington started off the new year with a very slow market in the upper end homes. That activity has improved somewhat and stats are now showing just a 4.1% drop in average sale price in the area. Closing activity so far in 2009 has recovered with sales down less than 1% compared to the same period in 2008.
Stats for 2008 showed a 16% decline in closing activity and a 10.3% decline in average sale prices compared to '07.
