Westerly's home resale inventories for 2010 was 184, and 174 for 2011. Distressed properties such as foreclosures and short sales remained the same as a percentage of the total market in January. The median listing price in Westerly went up from December to January. Although the statistics say the market did less in 2011, the office of Coldwell Banker Cahoone, remains very busy with sales contracts and listings. Average listings which took 180 days to close are now taking about 120 or less. More buyer's for second homes than last year.
