Housing is still a personal choice and prices, availability, are very local. Market time varies by neighborhoods and we do get multiple offers. August had more sales than usual as a direct result of low interest rates and pent up demand. The market has not been saturated by foreclosures. Lenders, appraisers and buyers are adjusting to the new normal in mortgage lending. The very first thing all buyers need to do is talk with a lender to see how the process works. The paper trail needed is longer than before but can be managed with some preparation. It is best to be an informed buyer.
