Two hundred-twenty-two (222) homes sold in 2010 at an average price of $167,047. Average days on market was 80. For 2009, 229 homes were sold. Average sales price was $174,200, and average days on market was 94. Two hundred thirty-four (234) homes were sold in Schertz in 2007, and 245 in 2008. Except for 2009, this area has continued to show an increase in yearly sales, mainly because it is located in the popular "Austin Corridor". Also, it is very popular with military families.
In 2011, 362 houses sold for an average of $183,400 after being on the market for an average of 81 days.
So far in 2012,74 homes have sold for an average of $174,174 after being on the market an average of 116 days. There are152 homes currently on the market and 52 under contract.
Interest rates o f3.80% or less are available for government and conventional loans, providing buyer(s) have good credit and employment history. This rate is at a 30-year low!
