Our market is down slightly. I believe it is a result of the national market, media, economy, etc. Many of the people accepting positions in Gillette are unable to sell their homes in another community, or their credit has been adversely affected. However certain parts of the market are still very active. Also as a result of the national economy and media, even local people who could move forward are often afraid to.Our mineral industry is down, and because of the sales among the mineral companies themselves, the higher end part of the market is not near as active as it has been over the last many years. I feel people should look seriously right now because the reduction in the interest rates, makes a much greater difference in the monthly payment than a price difference does. I encourage people to move forward while the interest rates are lower. We have had very much higher rates over the years, so people do need to take advantage of price and rates if they are able to obtain loans. Also the stimulus packages are a definite advantage to buyers.
