HUNTSVILLE is currently experencing activity with buyers searching for deals and sometimes making really low offers. Unfortunately for the buyers our market is still steady. Although we haven't seen any real gains in the past couple of years, we also have not really seen any drops in values. I feel we are at the bottom of our market, so buyers its time to buy! Really good deals are out there in new construction with some awesome buyer incentives.
Now for some facts about the market. April saw a decrease of 4.3% in the number of sales compared to March. The average sales price was up 4.8% and the Median Price was up 2.5%. Sales are down 22% from April last year. Average price was down 3.9% and the median sales price was down 1.4% April compared to the average for the previous three months shows the Market is making some slight improvements. The number of sales was up 11%. Average price was down 2% and Median price was down 1%. While negative numbers don't sound good, these numbers are getting smaller each month.

Location Characteristics: Huntsville has been so fortunate to have not so effected by the Real Estate Crash that we have seen around the country. We currently have more jobs here than we have people to fill them. The Base Realignment and Closure or BRAC was scheduled to bring an influx of people here from the Virginia and DC area. Unfortunately their housing market there is really bad and they can't sell their homes there to move to Huntsville. THE GOOD NEWS IS, SOMEONE WILL FILL THESE JOBS AND THEY WILL NEED A PLACE TO LIVE!
