After a downward trend at the end of '07, Auburn's market seems to have leveled off for the time being, at least. New sales and "pending" statuses increased, although inventory is following suit.
If you want horse property, you can start looking in the high- $300's for something around an acre or two, with room for a couple of horses. Larger parcels with a bern or other amenities will start in the high $500's.
In town, look at all these lovely homes; Victorians and other historic homes, custom ranch style homes in and around downtown, Old Town, Aeolia Heights... These great homes can be purchased for beginning in the mid $400's. For exquisite historic homes, expect to pay more; beginning in the $700's and increasing from there.

Professional Experience
I draw upon my many years of experience as a real estate investor in residential, income, and recreational properties to aid my clients in achieving their goals. My many years in business have helped shape my strong sense of customer service and my ability to negotiate decisively and efficiently for my clients.
My real estate experience includes transactions in the sale, purchase, and management of ranch properties; residential properties; mountain and vacation properties; and recreational properties. I routinely work throughout Placer and El Dorado counties, and Sacramento and Nevada Counties and neighboring regions to a lesser degree. One Additional "Specialty"
You might have noticed that I publicize myself as a "Ranch Property Specialist." In 1999, along with a partner, I developed what is now widely considered 'Placer County’s Premiere Equestrian Facility.' That project involved designing and building a home, and developing a fully functioning 60-stall facility with multiple arenas and barns, and an indoor barn and arena structure which covers more than 25,000 square feet of ground. Training and riding academy programs were also my projects during the developmental stage of the ranch. Additionally, I developed and implemented the marketing to bring that beautiful ranch to its current splendor.
My past experience includes owning several small businesses between 1979 and 2005, as well as working as a licensed civil engineer for both Federal and State governments. I have broad project management experience and training, and I have extensive training in negotiation, interpersonal communication, and cross-cultural awareness.
Education
I have an AS degree in Math and Physical Sciences from American River College; and a Bachelors of Science degree in Civil Engineering from UC Davis.
My education includes formal training and experience in evaluating a project or plan in both economic terms and in terms of customer satisfaction and intangible value. What this means to you as my client is that I will serve you with concern for your wishes while always keeping a realistic and educated eye on your goals. My pledge to you is to continue to educate myself so that I can best serve your needs.
Personal Information

I enjoy spending time with family and friends. Balance is the key to me. I try to make time for my outside interests which include horseback riding, writing, downhill mountain biking, skiing, ballroom dance, and working on my home and garden.
