11/15/09 Statistics for San Jose indicate that 2,524 homes are on the market. The medium home price for Santa Clara is $355,000. Average price per square feet is $270.

Santa Clara County overall is experiencing less homes on the market with 2858 total homes on the market. Condos make up 726 and Single Family Homes make up the other 2132. The Average Days on market for SFH is 69 days and for Condos is 69 DOM.

Low interest rates and low levels of inventory are making this a hot market. The extension of the $8,000 buyers credit now expires on April 30, 2010! In addition there is a "move up" credit for those who have owned their homes for the past 5 years as their primary residence and buy a owner occupied home. These move up buyers can get up to a $6500 credit.
