As of November 20th, in the Santa Clara County the inventory for active listings of single family homes was 1986 and condo/townhomes is 743. Totaling 2729 for both. The number of listings dropped by 56% from last year at this time!
The number of homes and townhome/condos that went into contract over the last 30 days was 1774. This figure is up 38% over last year.
The number of closed sales in October was 1384 (this was about even with last year's figures) Closed sales thus far in November are 741.
The homebuyer's credit got extended and it includes qualified repeat homebuyers. This is great news if you have been on the fence about making a move up to your next home. There are income restrictions and, of course, time restrictions. Find out if you qualify!
