Location Characteristics: Willow Glen began as an area with numerous Willow Trees surrounding the Los Gatos Creek and Guadalupe River. It was planted in the early 1900s with orchards. Later houses and roads were built and it began to urbanize with Lincoln Av developing as its downtown shopping area. In 1936 it became part of the city of San Jose. Today with its distinguished schools and spirit of community it is a thriving area with a bustling shopping district filled with shoppers, fine restaurants, great houses and excellent tree lined neighborhoods.
