This market is improving for buyers here as inventory increases. It remains a great time to buy as interest rates are very low and appreciation rates have not soared yet, as they have in California and the east coast. All in all it is a great time to relocate to this spectacular area! In 2011 for the Tri-Lakes area in the Multiple Listing service, the average sales price for single family and patio homes was $374,072 and the average price per sq ft was $98.25 with 112 average days on the market.

Location Characteristics: Monument is a wonderful area with a mountain feel. The Tri-Lakes area has custom and semi-custom homes, some with spectacular views of the mountains, giving a feeling of being worlds away. Conveniently located off the I-25 corridor, and near the Air Force Academy, these homes are a haven for people working in Colorado Springs or Denver. Homes in this area are generally in the $300K to over $2 million dollar price range.
