For the buyers: Our transactions are up around 17% over last year in the 3rd quarter,while housing prices are around 17% lower. Many first time home buyers are entering the market due to the lower housing costs, lower interest rates, and the up to $8000.00 tax credit, which has been extended until June 30 2010. For the sellers: Our overall inventory is down significantly from last year. We are now at about a 9 month supply of inventory. When we reach a 6 month supply, we will be reaching a balanced market.
