Location Characteristics: Flanked by beautiful Gulf Beaches on one side and sparkling bay waters on the other side, Longboat Key is one of my favorite places. As soon as you drive onto the Key, you know you've found a special place. One thing I like about it is that there's no commercial signs jumping out at you. The community was so well planned and thought out that all the commercial businesses are well hidden. It just gives the place of sense of serenity and peace. The Luxurious Longboat Key Resort is a popular spot for vacationers as is all of Longboat Key. I favor the north end of the Key which has retained an old Florida flavor.
