In Hoffman Estates the summer was extremely active and the traffic and sales counts have sustained so far in early fall. 1st time home buyers are out in force gobbling up the great values out there which is enabling the move up buyers to go out and buy as well. Homes in good condition that are marketed well and priced well are selling. We are also seeing competition on some of the homes selling with mulitiple offers!
Interest rates are still hovering around the 5% mark, which is basically at historical lows. With the recent uptick in sales and refinancing there is no guarantee that rates will stay this low for much longer. At some point we expect to not only see a rise in interest rates but also home values.
