Location Characteristics: Howard County has lovely rolling hills that used to be forests and farm land. Much of this land has now been developed into wonderful residential communities, although there are still a few farms and rolling hills in western Howard Co.

Fulton is an area which is experiencing tremendous development with the new Maple Farms development to include commercial and residential development. Columbia, houses just over 100,000 people, and is currently the largest town in Howard Co. The county seat is Ellicott City, which covers a good portion of the county, and includes a historic district.
