Statistics for the Attleboro real estate market in the 2nd quarter of 2009 show a decrease in the number of active properties. There were 37 Single Family Homes listed in the 2nd quarter 2009 vs, 35 in 2008. Days On the Market (DOM) increased from 159 in the 2nd quarter 2008 to 171 in the 2nd quarter 2009.
The average sale price was down from $276,106 in the 2nd quarter 2008 to $241,409 in 2009.
According to the latest survey by the National Association of Realtors®, most metropolitan area median home prices, impacted by distressed sales, trended down in the fourth quarter from a year earlier. At the same time, existing-home sales rose in only six states from the fourth quarter of 2007.
In the fourth quarter, 134 out of 153 metropolitan statistical areas showed declines in median existing single-family home prices from the same period in 2007, pulled down by active sales at the lower end that were driven by foreclosures.
