The dynamics in Brighton are a little bit different from other communities. With a large number of affordable condos, Brighton condo prices have slipped in price to a certain extent but continue to hold there own. Multi-family prices have definately been effected to a much greater extent as well as single family homes.
Demand in Brighton continues to remain relatively strong for condos. This is driven by the need by young professionals to have convenient public transportation into Boston and the major universities that are located in the immediate area.
Long term, I consider Brighton a great opportunity for Buyers. Please don't hesitate to call or email with any questions or if you want to find out more about Brighton or any of the other surrounding towns.
Location Characteristics: Multi-family homes and condominiums lines the streets of this welcoming neighborhood, which is located in the northwest corner of Boston, on the shores of the Charles River. Many of Brighton's small businesses are located along Washington Street, which runs straight through Brighton Center to Oak Square. The Brighton Center Main Streets Program has been actively attracting new businesses to the neighborhood, as well as offering grants for storefront renovations. St. Elizabeth's Hospital and the Franciscan Children's Hospital also call Brighton home.
Families, young professionals and graduates students are all lured to Brighton for its tranquil yet dynamic atmosphere. With great public transportation many people don't feel the need to own a car but many still do.
