Sales are down some in Buffalo. Since Buffalo is the county seat of Wright County it is experiencing some growth as the Twin Cities Metro area continues to expand outward. Even though the trend had been generally upward, due to the availability of many new and pre-existing, it is currently a buyer's market. In January, 15 homes sold from the MLS, as opposed to 16 in the same time period in 2011. The average price was at $101,000, down from $161,000 and the price per square foot dropped to $88, down from $88 at this time last year. What does this all mean? It is winter and prices are down, so it's a great time for buyers to take advantage of the situation.
