My work is exclusively with helping buyers find the great deals out there, so my remarks are focused specifically to buyers. Albuquerque has been much more stable than many of the real estate markets around the country. There are multiple reasons that have helped our market stabilize. Primarily, there wasn't as much overinflation of home prices during the boom. Second is that our job market has been more stable. Third - our climate and business friendly environment have attracted good reviews from several well ready publications that continue to help us attract jobs. Just recently in 2008, Forbes magazine ranked Albuquerque as the Top Market where home prices are likely to rise. Albuquerque ranks #2 on Kiplinger's Personal Finance's 10 Best Cities of 2009.

This spring brought a sharp pickup in home purchases and buyers are picking up many of the good deals out there. The $8,000 first-time buyer tax credit has really worked to increase the number of buyers out there ready to take advantage of a really great deal. With a perfect storm of low interest rates, low home prices, and an $8,000 tax credit, why would someone in a position to purchase a home, pass it up?

Location Characteristics: Albuquerque is the major metro of the State of New Mexico. In years past, much of the economy was reliant federal and state level jobs between the University, Military, and Government Contracts. In the past fifteen years, Albuquerque's economy has diversified with job growth in the high-tech, scientific research, engineering, and film industries, creating a more stable job market and therefore a more stable real estate market.

With the great climate of New Mexico, many retirees are finding Albuquerque to be a great option for their retirment. The state and local governments have been working hard to make the area attractive to business and have been successful in bring new companies and even new industries to the area.

In the process of purchasing my first home I am still amazed at the professionalism and the 'extra' measures taken by Realtor, Jared Murphy in helping me to achieve home ownership which has been known to many as the most daunting process ever. The efforts and attentiveness involved at a distance were impeccable. At the time I had lived in Seattle, WA and never had the chance to fly to NM to visually see the home and or to meet Realtor, Jared Murphy in person.

Because of this situation I had to solely rely on Mr. Murphy's confidence and experience that the home I was unable to see in person thus only via email as a digital photo was indeed the home for me. Upon arrival In May 2007 and closing shortly thereafter I am pleased with my new home! As I have advanced my business career, I have had less and less time to spend on researching and purchasing real estate. I have been very fortunate to find someone like Jared that I can trust with assisting me with my second career, real estate investing. In the summer of 2005, I met Jared while touring an investment opportunity in the Dallas area, advertised through a local realtor in Phoenix who was connected to a property management and investment company. While returning back to Phoenix, we began to talk about real estate investing. Jared was and is very knowledgeable in both the Phoenix area and now New Mexico markets. He is associated with a group of Real Estate Specialists, whom I have met, that are having phenomenal success in their endeavors.
