ZIP Code: 87102

Approximate Location Boundaries: I-25 to the east to the Rio Grande River on the west between Cesar Chavez Bl and I-40

Location Characteristics: WELCOME TO DOWNTOWN ALBUQUERQUE! We love how our downtown is developing. Ten years ago it was slow and old and sleepy, but now it has become a "happening" place. The previous mayor Marty Chavez supported by the Downtown Action Team has converted the central city area to an entertainment area with movies and restaurants which has created the beginning of a live-work downtown situation. Older buildings including the old high school have become lofts and new ones are being built. The city has reduced the number of homeless and increased foot patrols to create a safe place to live and work. Our convention center draws large groups and Old Town, Museum "row" and the new National Hispanic Cultural Center provide an abundance of places to go and see.
