ZIP Codes: 87111, 87108

Approximate Location Boundaries: Tramway to the north, Sandia Mountains to the east, Wyoming Blvd to west and Lomas to the South

Location Characteristics: WELCOME TO THE NE FOOTHILLS! With ABQ metro ranking as number one on the list of "Hottest Buyers Markets", the Far Northeast Heights continues to be THE place to live. Sandia Heights was just rated as one of the top 25 places to live in the USA. The views of the mountains are beautiful, especially at sunset, and the city views are stunning. The altitude is greater than a mile high so one can see the entire city basin and out to the mountains to the west 60 miles away. The schools are rated among the best in the city. Shopping choices include Whole Foods, Borders, Trader Joe's and even Chico's. The home prices are slightly higher than other parts of the city, but it's worth it!! I live here and love it.

This area is called Area 30 and is bounded by Tramway to the east, Mongomery to the south, Wyoming to the west and Paseo del Norte/San Antonio to the north. The neighborhoods are well kept and established with tree-lined streets and ranch homes with larger lots.

And check out the descriptions of Albuquerque to see why we all love our city. For example, our airport, the Sunport, just won the award for best in the west. The new screening area is fast and efficient. We also won a World Leadership Award for efforts to ensure a water future. Residents are proud and respectful of our natural resources and beauty.
