As of today February 1, 2012 Realty Times reports that the average interest rate nationally for a 30 year fixed interest rate loan is 3.98% compared to 3.95% last month. During January 2012, there were no reported closings in High Desert compared to 2 homes that closed during January 2011. As of close of business on January 31st there were 50 homes on the market compared to 55 at the same time in 2011. The current homes have been on the market an average of 129 days compared to 168 days at the same time last year. There are 4 homes in pending status compared to 6 at the same time in 2011.
