Location Characteristics: The Dilworth area of Charlotte is one of the oldest parts of town. It is characterized by stately old homes on tree lined streets, and also has smaller (although pricey) homes as well. It is the closest single family area to uptown. There are several nice parks in Dilworth: Latta Park and one end of Freedom Park borders Dilworth. One of the most pedestrian friendly areas of town, Dilworth has many dining and entertainment opportunities along South and East Boulevards. Adjacent to Dilworth is Southend, which has seen much new condo development in recent years.
