Lawton has experienced a strong Buyers' market for the past several years. That trend continues but Sellers are doing very well also as a result of the all-time low interest rates. BRAC has ended and the families that came in and rented initially are now looking to buy in many cases.. This will mean a continuation of a strong real estate market in the Lawton/Ft. Sill area for the next couple of years. Military coming home from Iraq at the end of this year should boost the real estate market significantly. Sellers that have their homes listed will reap some attractive sales. Property values in Oklahoma remain stable inspite of the national economic turmoil.
