The prices that are going to be slashed to capture the buyers have already been cut or original prices are starting out lower than the old market. There are fair prices, reasonable prices, on most of the listings now. Prices are between 9%-13% lower than they were listed last year. Buyers are finding more homes affordable with the low interest rates and the $8000 tax credit incentives. Because the $8000 federal stimulus tax credit expires on December 1, 2009, many first time homebuyers are urgently picking out homes now so that they don't miss it. This is good for any seller willing to list their home and sell it before September. The best homes are being sold quickly and many for multiple offers during this hot season. It is a great time for buyers and sellers in the Greater Coatesville Area.
