Bedford, Texas is located in Tarrant County, one of the fastest growing urban counties in the United States today. Bedford is located one mile from DFW airport, approximately 20 miles west of Dallas and 15 miles northeast of Fort Worth in the northeast quadrant of Tarrant County. With a total area of 10 square miles, the prominent highways through town include State Highway 121 and State Highway 183 (also known as Airport Freeway).
Dallas was ranked one of the top 10 Best Housing Markets for 2009 by Forbes.com and one of the top three housing markets in the country, according to a economic report from the Brookings Institution in June 2009.
