No news yet on the extention of the $8000 grant money, however the one good thing that did happen is they passed it to be extended for Military and a couple of other groups, which mean it is looking good for everyone. I will keep you updated as I know more. Be sure to ask your lender about any programs as well. The market has seen some signs of recovery, however I think for the next year we will still see it slower than in the past and home prices still lower. It is still good news for those needing to sell and those who are wanting to purchase. The Stimulate Package is making it easier for buyers to qualify to buy and helping to get homes sold. What does this mean for you the home buyer and seller? Well it seems that things are starting to look up. Kaysville, although a desired location for many, is still seeing sales a little slower than normal. The average sales price for homes in East Kaysville is around $319,500., with the average sales price this past month around $270,000 for the entire area and taking about 89 days on the market to sell. We are starting to see more homes being listed although it is still a buyers market. So as all reports indicate, the market has softened slightly, but Utah still has a high demand in the Real Estate Market and still considered one of the best places to live according to all national surveys. We are seeing a steady amount of growth with new industry and interest in our State. Approximate Location Boundaries: Located between Farmington on the South and Layton on the north, Kaysvilles location is perfect for those commuting both North and South.

Location Characteristics: Kaysville is a wonderful place to live and is one area that people tend to look when purchasing a home. The location is a great area for those traveling South towards Salt Lake or North to Hill Air Force Base or Ogden. Easy access and being centrally located between the two make it for an easy drive. Homes sales are very good in this area due to the lack of new construction and the demand for existing homes. Although there is new development, most of which is in West Kaysville, the east part of the city has established homes that dominate the east bench. Homes sell quickly and are in the medium price range with days on the market low because of the demand. What a great area for enjoyment of the mountains for biking, hiking, picnics, skiing and other recreational activities.
