Rates for a 30 year Conventional Loan, were around 4%, which makes interest rates attractive for buyers.
Layton is considered a great area for people being transferred to Hill Air Force Base. Average homes sold for around $180,000 and days on the market still are running about 160 days or more. Interest rates have remained low, which is helping buyers to qualify for homes. It is still a great time to talk to your lender regarding a new mortgage or even if your are looking to refinance. From the many Restaurants that have been building in the area, commercial stores just keep bringing new shopping outlets, movie theaters, and lots of new homes to the area. The new conference center has certainly had an impact on the city, and its continued efforts to make Layton the desired community is showing. From parks with ponds, playgrounds, shopping and the close proximity to Ogden and Salt Lake City as well as Hill Air Force Base, this is definitely a place where new residents are looking when choosing their new home. Layton offers something for everyone when it comes to the price of homes in the area.
