The local statement goes: "As long as the sun shines in Dixie, people will always want to live here", and that story hasn't changed. Here's some reasons why to look closely at Southwest Utah: 2011 YE Median sale price in Washington County is now only down approx. 2.8% to $240,780, and median list price is now a break even with last year at $260,000. What you don't see in these figures is that the average price drop is being strongly influenced by the higher-priced properties losing value still.
ZIP Codes: 84770, 84790, 84780, 84738, 84722, 84783, 84725, 84733, 84737, 84745, 84746, 84757, 84763, 84781, 84765, 84746, 84767, 84774, 84779 Location Characteristics: Southwestern Utah is also called Utah's "Dixie" because the weather seems to always be warm and comfortable year-round, and one of the original pioneer projects was to grow cotton and grapes because of the great weather. Winter lows average about 40f and summer highs average 95f-100f.
Small towns, great weather, amazing scenery, abundant recreation such as golf (10 courses!), tennis, hiking, hunting, fishing, cycling, running, boating; anything and everything outdoors.
Known as Red Rock Country, you'll see red sandstone formations surounding our communities, heavy pine forests and winter snow just 30 minutes from St George, and Brianhead Ski Resort is about an hour and 1/2 to be on the lift. Las Vegas sits about an hour and a half South of St George; we've got it all!
