WELCOME TO ST. THOMAS, US VIRGIN ISLANDS! Currently we are experiencing a Strong Buyer's Market. The medium sales price for all homes, condominiums and land decreased by 15% in 2008. The new year shows a continued downward trend in prices over the 4th quarter of 2008. The medium sales price for all homes, condominiums and land has decreased by 25% since the beginning of 2008. The average price for a 2-3 bedroom single family residence is now between $350,000 and $650,000; two bedroom ocean view or ocean front condominiums are approximately $350,000 to $400,000. Location Characteristics: The Virgin Islands enjoy beautiful weather year round. Blessed with powdery white sand beaches and sun-drenched skies, the average year round temperatures range in the 80's during the day and 70's most nights with summer somewhat warmer. Gentle easterly trade winds keep the humidity low. Surrounded by the turquoise waters of the Caribbean Sea, St. Thomas is 32 square miles in size. The island appears much larger due to the mountainous terrain. The highest elevation is Mountain Top at 1,550 above sea level.
