There are attractive features all over the county, some bearing Alexandria address like Fort Hunt or Fort Belvoir, which are located on land once owned by George Washington. Fairfax County is considered part of the Washington Metropolitan area, because of its proximity to Washington DC. It is multicultural where people come from all over the world. It is refered to as the SiliconValley of the east shore. Commercial and High tech industry is flourishing as well as the Real Estate. The School are rated well in the country.
