Jerry I. Speyer, President, CEO of TishmanSpeyer Properties, will keynote the 1999 Real Estate Outlook on January 21, 1999 at the Century Plaza Hotel, Los Angeles. Mr. Speyer was termed, ``No. 1 real estate developer in the world,'' in a feature article in the New York Times Magazine, December 20, 1998. ``This is a unique time in the real estate cycle, both as an owner and active developer,'' says Mr. Speyer. ``Despite recent events, the convergence of the global markets and strengthening national economy continues to create opportunities for both owners and developers.'' One of the largest and oldest real estate development organizations in the United States, TishmanSpeyer was founded in 1978 by Mr. Speyer and Robert Tishman. It employs more than 500 real estate professionals and operates from its New York City headquarters with 15 offices worldwide. It has developed or acquired a portfolio of more than 36.4 million square feet valued at more than $10 billion, including high-rise office buildings, retail space, residential properties and entertainment centers. The Outlook conference is a forum for the professional real estate community where industry leaders assemble to explore their views, exchange insights and share experiences with their peers. Martin S. Stolzoff, partner of Real Estate Conference Group, conference chairman, said, ``We are deeply honored to have Jerry Speyer keynote this event and to have the bright lights of the industry share the podium in an analysis of strategies for 1999 and into the millennium.'' Featured speakers are W. Dean Henry, President, Legacy Partners; Robert J. Lowe, Chairman, CEO, Lowe Enterprises; William A. Millichap, President, Marcus & Millichap; and Richard S. Ziman, Chairman, CEO, Arden Realty, Inc. Highlights are panels on economics, finance, Wall Street, institutional and opportunity investors, developers, major developments, REITs and brokers. |
