Sex Symbols' Homes for Sale

Bo Derek, recently widowed by the death of her husband, producer John Derek, is resuming her career with a new TV series, the "Wind on the Water", and she is selling the ranch estate that she shared with her husband for over 18 years.

Offered at $2.5 million, the 31-acre property includes a 5,000-square-foot, four-bedroom, four and a half bath ranch-style house. Two caretaker apartments, a six-stall horse barn, and two swimming pools are including. The property boasts spectacular mountain and valley views from every angle.

Ms. Derek first burst onto the scene as the object of Dudley Moore's mid-life crisis in Blake Edwards' sly 1979 comedy, "10." Since then, she went on to achieve true sex symbol icon status with a 1980 Playboy spread for which she was photographed in the nude by her husband, and also was photographed nude in two movies directed by him, "Tarzan, the Ape Man" and "Bolero," both perennial video store favorites.

Elizabeth's and Richard's Puerto Vallarta Home for Sale

With decorating relics included from the tempestuous marriage of former owners Richard Burton and Elizabeth Taylor, the former Puerto Vallarta vacation home of the home-wrecking couple is up for sale. Ms. Taylor, who conveyed the property to the current owners in 1990, first rented the villa while Burton was filming "The Night of the Iguana" with Ava Gardner, Deborah Kerr and Sue Lyon, and then purchased the home in 1964, the year the film was released. The Burtons at the time were the highest paid actors as well as the most notorious couple in Hollywood. Many of the custom made furnishings ordered by the couple are included in the sale. The home offers bay, river and jungle views as well as a swimming pool which was commissioned and built by Burton for Taylor. The nine bedroom home has 12 bathrooms and numerous verandahs and patios.

Whoopi Goldberg Puts New York Weekender Estate on the Market

Raunchy -but-big-hearted comedian Whoopi Goldberg is considered a sex symbol in some circles. She is offering her West Cornwall (Litchfield County, Connecticut ) home for sale at $1.2 million. After purchasing the 40-acre property in 1991 and purchasing 28 adjoining acres for $275,000 the following year for a total of $1, 050,000, Ms. Goldberg will make a nice profit on the home. The property includes a 4,000 sq.ft. Colonial style home and a five-stall horse barn. The home is listed with Seymour Surnow, with William Raveis Real Estate in Washington Depot.
